St. Augustine

The oldest city is one of my favorite places to go. There is so much you can do there. Last trip I made with my friends, we went to the fort, the old jail and the lighthouse. This trip we went to the Pirate Museum. The Pirate Museum was very unique. When you first walk in it's the gift shop...typical. But, once you enter the actual museum it's the coolest museum ever! There are artifacts from different pirate ports and ships. You can also do a treasure hunt! The prize at the end isn't the coolest prize but it's still awesome. One part of the museum you can see the methods that were use to execute pirates. Another part shows pirates in movies and on tv. They also have Captain Jack Sparrow's sword (or one of the one's Johnny Depp used in the movie). You can also "fire" cannons in the museum. The best part will have to be the audio show that lasts 5 minutes. You go in sit down and put the headphones on. Then listen to a story with the lights off. I can't really say anymore than that. Our next stop was The Colonial Spanish Quarter. We took the tour and learned about how life was back then. We also went to the oldest house in St. Augustine. How people lived back then was very interesting to me because it was 100% different than how we live today. After that we decided to head over to the beach. The sun was setting and it was plain gorgeous out! We wrote our names in the sand, as well as HELP ME! We had such a nice walk out on the beach. After that we went to dinner at this awesome place called The Oasis. Then we went on a Ghost Tour. The ghost tour took us to the Lighthouse Grounds and The Old Jail. We actually got to go into the Old Jail. I had a feeling as if I was being looked at the whole time we were in there. This was the end of our day in St. Augustine! The next time you are looking for something to do, take the time and visit the Oldest City in the U.S.A!!!!
